Vinyl
For this project, I created vinyl window clings inspired by a designer’s quote, Ingrid Picanyol, using her words as the foundation for my visual concept. The process involved interpreting the meaning behind the quote and translating it into a design that could be both visually engaging and readable on glass. I focused on composition, typography, and contrast to ensure the design stood out while still reflecting the original message. This project helped me explore how design can communicate ideas in a physical space and how typography can bring a quote to life in a creative and meaningful way.

Process
For this project, I began by researching Ingrid Picanyol and selecting one of her quotes that aligned with the concept of the vinyl window sticker. After gathering background information on her work and ideas, I created a slide deck to visually present her influence, including key biographical information, the context of her quote, and how it connected to the overall design direction. The slides were organized to clearly communicate both the research process and the development of the final concept, using a clean layout to emphasize readability and visual hierarchy.
After finalizing the concept, I moved into Adobe Illustrator to create the vinyl sticker design. I built the file using two separate layers: one layer contained the main vector artwork, and the second layer was used for supporting elements and print setup adjustments. This layering system allowed me to scale the design accurately for larger vinyl production without losing clarity or structure. By keeping the elements separated, I was able to maintain control over alignment, proportions, and print readiness, ensuring the final file was properly prepared for large-scale window application.
