Monogram
For this project, I created a monogram by combining and refining letterforms to develop a unique and cohesive personal mark. My goal was to take my initials and transform them into a design that felt intentional, balanced, and visually distinctive. I explored different compositions, experimenting with overlap, negative space, and alignment to see how the letters could interact in a way that felt unified rather than separate. A large part of my process involved simplifying complex forms while still maintaining the identity of each letter, which required careful attention to proportion, spacing, and overall structure.
For the process specifically I had made 100 different items that all had my initials on it and had to choose the one with the most interesting texture for this I chose the glove with nail polish on it because the nail polish added heavier and lighter spots.\
I then took typefaces that i thought would work well with the “E” and made mock ups.
From there I created an InDesign document in which i made my whole story about myself into art.
